And Sometimes the Bar Eats You

Not a happy day today as you will see below and a seperate article I wrote discussing the passing of a legend. But I will try.

Uno-Congrats to the Chicago Bulls for finally showing everyone why they are the one seed in this thing. Their convincing victory over the Pacers and effectively dispatching them out of the playoffs should put a lot of questions to rest. Especially about Derrick Rose being the one man show. Will it be Orlando or Atlanta? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Due-What a buzz kill to be a Chicago fan. You watch the Bulls eliminate someone from the playoffs, only to see the Blackhawks blow it in overtime with a turnover and a missed power play opportunity. I will say this. The last week was some of the most fun I had watching the Blackhawks. Thank you guys, and thanks for winning that cup last year. Let’s do that one again sometime. Maybe next year.

Tre-Tomorrow is draft day which is huge. The Dolphins are at number 15 and I’m sorry. They need a quarterback. They need someone to push Henne to the limit. The competition needs to happen this year, and who’s to say that Thigpen will even factor into the equation.

Quattro-Brandon Marshall getting stabbed by his wife. I don’t know what happened there. Perhaps he wanted white wine and she wanted red, and she would do anything to get it. Many people are saying that Brandon Marshall should be held responsible for this. (Marshall’s wife says the stabbing was self defense.) We don’t know why he lied about the stabbing, but nevertheless we saw this relationship go bad years ago. Perhaps its time for him to move on. His career might depend on it.

Cinque-Speaking of football, anyone find it laughable Mike Martz thinks he’s in line for a raise and he turned down his extension offered to him by the Bears because of that reason. Obviously the extension did not include the raise. Yeah Martz. Your offense was really good. If I had the luck of playing teams with significant injuries, I would look like a genius too.

Sei-Tonight is hopefully the night the Heat take care of business. Word to the Heat. Do the zombie stomp on the Sixers from beginning to end. Don’t come out slow, don’t run out of gas. Just put the pedal to the metal and crush them. Then get ready to take out those three shitheads and their little bitch from chowder country on Sunday. Thank goodness we’re at home.

Sette-The White Sox have a new closer, and he doesn’t pitch. His name is Brent Lillibridge. Amazing catches by that boy last night in the Bronx. However, Sergios Santos is my vote. He has two saves. Correct me if I’m wrong, but are those the first two saves of the season for the Sox.

Pinsiero finale-If we can take something out of the thrilling series between the Hawks and the Canucks, there are two things for both teams that relate to real life. For the Canuckleheads, it took them three times to finally eliminate the Hawks from the Stanley Cup playoffs. Don’t quit. You can accomplish what you want to if you keep trying. And the Hawks, don’t ever give up. If you lose or fail, you always have another time and place to make good.

I promise you the Hawks will make good next year. One goal baby!!!!

PS-Dr. Phil was on Mully and Handley this morning on 670 The Score. Dude it was only a hockey game. We don’t need therapy. Come on now.
